Have checked with Edge have found no issues. If a script file which is downloaded is detected by SmartScreen and able to provide an option to save and Save As. Also, When Save option was selected the SmartScreen prevent the file to be downloaded. You may use Sophos XG to prevent clients to download executables and script files.
